Page Three, Column 7Mrs. Amanda C. BLAKEWAY died suddenly at the Jefferson county hospital this morning where she had been a patient since July 1. She was taken to the hospital following a fall.
The body is at the Hoskins funeral home where services are pending.
She was the daughter of John and Bertha LANGE UNTERKIRCHER, born November 21, 1870 at Wever, Iowa. She married C. J. BLAKEWAY at Wever, December 23, 1896. He preceded her in death December 22, 1949.
Following their marriage they lived on a farm near Middletown, moving to Burlington in 1921 and to Fairfield in 1941. Their home was at 306 W. Adams. she was a member of the Jefferson county Golden Wedding club.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Veda KERN, Ft. Madison and Mrs. Madelyn NUTT of Douds; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Arthur UNTERKIRCHER of Wever and H. H. UNTERKIRCHER of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Charles NUTT and Mrs. Ida HILLGARDNER of Burlington. One son preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda BLAKEWAY will be held Sunday afternoon at one o'clock at the Hoskins funeral home. Dr. L. L. Weis will be in charge and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. BLAKEWAY died suddenly at the Jefferson county hospital yesterday morning. She had been a patient there since July 1.
