Mrs. Charles BLAKELEY, life-time resident of the Fairfield community, died suddenly about 4 a.m. this morning at her farm home two miles southwest of Fairfield. She had been a patient at the Jefferson county hospital for 11 days and had returned to her home yesterday. She had been in failing health for several years.
Last rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Elton Coleman of Libertyville in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Zella A. BLAKELEY, 64, was born June 27, 1894, in Fairfield, the daughter of the late William and Susie FLEAGLE NOTT. She was married June 29, 1912, to Charles BLAKELEY, who survives. The wedding took place at Fairfield.
Mrs. BLAKELEY was a member of the Libertyville Methodist church, the W.R.C. and Rebekah Lodge No. 386.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Everett BLAKELEY, Ottumwa, and William BLAKELEY, Bettendorf; and two daughters, Mrs. H. E. CARLSON, Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Virgil MYERS, Fairfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
