Illness Fatal To Ben H. BLAKELEY

Ben H. BLAKELEY, 77, lifetime resident of Fairfield, died at 2:45 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital after a serious illness of one week. He had been in failing health for the past year.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

BLAKELEY was active in the real estate and insurance business for many years. He was born in Jefferson County Dec. 26, 1891, the son of Oscar and Clara TURNHAM BLAKELEY. He was never married.

BLAKELEY was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion and Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are five brothers: Charles, Jack and James, all of Fairfield; Joe of Stockport, and Carl of Lakeside, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Lula BRERETON, Fairfield. Four brothers and one sister are deceased.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS
In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of Ben H. BLAKELEY, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Ben H. BLAKELEY Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 25th day of April, 1969, the last will and testament of Ben H. BLAKELEY deceased bearing date of the 2nd day of January, 1962 was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Dillon S. Turney was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
