Last Friday morning at 12:20 o'clock little Frederick, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. John F. BLACK, who live four miles west of town, died of membraneous croup. The little one had been ill only since the Monday previous, but his illness was not thought to be at all serious and his death comes as a sudden and terrible blow to his parents. Frederick was two years, eight months and fourteen days old, and of a very bright and lovable disposition. His sorrowing parents have the heart-felt sympathy of many friends.
The funeral took place from the residence Saturday morning at eleven o'clock. Rev. Dr. J. F. Magill conducted the services.
