Mrs. BERG dies

BRIGHTON -- Pearl BERG died at 9 a.m. today at her home in rural Brighton. She was 85 (sic - 86).

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. BERG are pending at the Behner Funeral Home.

Pearl BERG service SAturday.

Pearl E. BERG, 86, Route 1, Brighton, died suddenly at 9 a.m. Wednesday at her home nine miles northeast of Fairfield.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. BERG was born April 1, 1897 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Axel and Mary FREEBURG PETERSON. She married Raymond C. BERG Dec. 4, 1920 at the New Sweden parsonage. He died May 12, 1968.

Surviving are a daughter, Maizie M. HOLLANDER of Fairfield; a son, Floyd R. BERG of rural Brighton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth BERG of Fairfield and Ann BUHMEYER of Burlington. Her parents, two sons, six brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. BERG had lived at her present home since 1920. She was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church.

JEFFERSON COUCNTY

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF PEARL E. BERG, DECEASED.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTEDIN (sic) THE ESTATE OF PEARL E. BERG, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 4TH DAY OF MAY, 1983, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PEARL E. BERG, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 15TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1982, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT FLOYD R. BERG WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
