Frank BERG dies at 82

Frank H. BERG, 82, 308 W. Adams, died at 5:25 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been ill for the past three weeks.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Frank H. BERG was born March 1, 1899, in Holdridge, Nebr., the son of Henry and Amelia WOMELSDORF BERG. He was married to Ruth M. PETERSON Oct. 6, 1924, in Germanville.

BERG was a retired farmer and had lived in Jefferson County for over 80 years. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, BERG is survived by one son, Carroll F., Waverly; two grandchildren; one brother, Charles BERG, Fairfield; and a sister, Clara LIGGETT, Libertyville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one granddaughter.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Behner Funeral Home.
