Florence BERG rite Monday

Florence J. BERG, 83, died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 1989, at Jefferson County Hospital. She had been a resident of the hospital's long-term care for 3½ years.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience starting Saturday noon at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to First Lutheran Church and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs. BERG was born Aug. 8, 1905, in Brighton, the daughter of Charles and Howard (sic - Charles Howard) and Lucy Mae FRAIN ARMSTRONG. Her foster parents were George and Bessie Kyle NEAL. She married Charlie T. BERG April 16, 1924. He died July 18, 1985. She was a cook in the Fairfield Public School system and a custodian at First Lutheran Church, where she was a member.

Surviving are a daughter, Juanita LOCK of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Carl E. BERG of Fairfield and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Glen Carl, in infancy; two sisters, Marie and Ina; and a brother, Howard.
