MRS. H. A. BERG, LONG ILL, DIED EARLY SUNDAY
Funeral Services Will Be Held Here Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.

Mrs. Alphonsa BERG, wife of Herman A. BERG, assistant cashier in the First National Bank here, passed away at 5:45 yesterday morning at Sunnyslope Sanatorium in Ottumwa following an illness of four months (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. Sylvester. The body will lie in state at the Hoskins funeral home until time for the services.

Mrs. BERG is well known in Fairfield having made her home here for several years. She was born November 15 (sic - Nov. 5), 1903. Before coming to Fairfield she made her home in Washington Iowa. Besides her husband she leaves two children, Colleen and Billy. Also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. REDLINGER of Washington and the following brothers and sisters: Earl, Raymond, Hubert and Junior of Washington and Mrs. Charles GEORGE of Sac City.

BERG FUNERAL THIS MORNING
Many Relatives and Friends Pay Tribute to Mrs. Herman BERG

The last rites for Mrs. Herman A. BERG were held at 9 o'clock this morning from the St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Sylvester in charge. Mrs. BERG passed away early Sunday morning at Sunnyslope Sanatorium in Ottumwa following an illness of four months.

The church choir sang the songs and Mrs. Joe Zaharris played. Magnificent floral offerings sent by friends and relatives, were banked about the casket in mute testimony of the esteem n which (sic) she was held by all who knew her. The church was filled to overflowing by friends who had come for many miles to pay their last tribute.

The pallbearers were W. H. Bangs, Charles Brown, E. G. Lange, W. P. Starr, O. A. Easton and E. C. Linder. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.

Among those from out-of-town who attended the services were: A. J. Thomann and son Paul of Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Charles GEORGE of Sac City; Mr. and Mrs. M. J. REDLINGER, Earl Raymond, Hubert and Junior of Washington and a host of other relatives an dfrends (sic) from Keota and Washington.
