JOHN BELVILLE DIED AT OELWEIN
At Home of Daughter Mrs. Grover FERRELL While on Visit

John BELVILLE, 7 miles north of the city passed away this morning about 6 oclock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glover FERRELL in Oelwein, where he and Mrs. BELVILLE had been visiting for over a month. He had been suffering from heart trouble for several months and the end came during one of the severe attacks.

No final arrangements have been made but the remains will probably be brought here. Mrs. BELVILLE's brother and sister, A. L. COOP and Miss Myrtle COOP, left for Oelwein this morning.

Mr BELVILLE is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Ollie COOP and the daughter, Mrs. FERRELL, also a sister, Mrs. Mina PUTMAN ot (sic) Washington.

BELVILLE RITES TOMORROW, 2:30
Remains Were Brought Today From Oelwein to A. L. COOP Home

The remains of John BELVILLE, who died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glover FERRELL in Oelwein, were brought to this city this afternoon and taken to the home of Mrs. BELVILLE's brother, A. L. COOP, 409 North Main street.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the Methodist church, the funeral cortage (sic - cortege) leaving the COOP home at 2 oclock. Dr. U. S. Smith, assisted by rev. H. E. Butler will conduct the last rites I O. O. F. Lodge No. 629 will have charge of the services at Evergreen cemetery where interment will be made

OBITUARY

JOHN BELVILLE

John BELVILLE, son of John and Mary Amarina BELVILLE, was born April 6, 1856, at Washington, Iowa, at which place he lived during his entire life. His life was spent on the farm.

When but a child Mr. BELVILLE was converted and joined the Christian church, and proved himself to be a most faithful and substantial member, until he left the farm. After moving to Washington, he with his family united with the Methodist church, in which he held some very important positions.

November 20, 1892, Mr. BELVILLE was united in marriage to Miss Olive (sic - Mary Olive) COOP of Perlee. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Glover FERRELL, of Oelwein, Iowa, in whose home he was visiting at the time of his death, which occured January 9, at 5 a.m.

Mr. BELVILLE was a good father and a kind and loving husband. He was most happy when he could be in his home with the members of his own family. His companion, Mrs. BELVILLE and daughter are left to mourn their loss. One sister, Mrs. Mina PUTMAN of Washington also survives.

At the time of Mr. BELVILLEs death he was 71 years, 9 months and 3 days old.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Fairfield, Jan. 11, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. U. S. Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Harvey Butler. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.

BELVILLE RITES HELD YESTERDAY
At First Methodist Church Conducted by Dr. Smith Assisted By Rev. Butler

Funeral services for John BELVILLE were held yesterday afternoon at the First Methodist church, conducted by Dr. U. S. Smith, assisted by Rev. Harvey E. Butler. Interment was at Evergreen cemetery, the Odd Fellows having charge of the services at the grave.

Two songs, "O Think of the Home Over There" and "There Is No Night There" were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Walter Gow, Miss Marie Scott, William Cupp and Paul Coleson, Mrs. Frank Pierson playing the accompaniment.

The following men served as pall bearers: Raymond COOP, Wiliam Spencer, A. S. Miller, Harry Knight, W. L. COOP, O. A. Louder.
