MISS LUCY BELLES TO BE BURIED HERE

Many friends in this city will regret to learn of the death of Miss Lucy BELLES of Philadelphia, Penn., who passed away yesterday morning at one o'clock at that place. The remains will be brought to this city Monday morning for burial and taken to the Frazey Undertaking parlors, but at this time the complete funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Over nine years ago Miss BELLES underwent an operation for appendicitis and since that time has steadily been declining in health. Several years ago she was stricken with paralysis which finally resulted in her death.

Miss BELLES was born in Lee county, Iowa, near West Point, June 17th, 1872, and was the daughter of A. L. and Emma BELLES. Her mother preceded her in death several years ago (sic - in 1909), while her father lives on a farm near West Point. In 1895 she graduated from Parsons College and after the removal of her parents to this city in 1897, made this city her home for several years. She later graduated from the Boston, Mass., General Hospital and also from the New York hospital.

Besides her father she leaves to mourn her loss two brothers and sisters: Burton B. BELLES of Philadelphia, Penn., and Charles C. BELLES, of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Laura MILLER and Mrs. Clara BORDLEMAY of Philadelphia, Penn.
