Mrs. BATCHELDER had come to be well known to a large number of Fairfield people and her patient sympathetic nature was greatly admired. The couple came to Fairfield in the first place to assist their grandchildren in obtaining an education in Parsons College and they came to be very great friends of many of the young people of the institution.

No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral owing to the fact that Mrs. STONE in New York is expected to arrive.
