FUNERAL OF MRS A. BARTLETT TUESDAY

Mrs. America BARTLETT, mother of James M. BARTLETT of this city, died Sunday at the home of her daughter Mrs. L. R. BENTON at Albert Lea, Minnesota. The remains will arrive in the city this evening over the Rock Island road.

Mrs. BARTLETT was well known in Fairfield where she has resided. She is survived by three children and a number of grand children. They are: Mrs. L. R. BENTON of Albert Lea, Minn.; J. M. BARTLETT of this city, and Arthur M. BARTLETT of Ottumwa.

The funeral services will be held from the residence of J. M. BARTLETT Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. S. B. Ross will have charge of the services. Interrment will be at Evergreen cemetery.

BARTLETT FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON

The funeral of the late Mrs America BARTLETT was held this afternoon at the home of her son J. M. BARTLETT on East Lowe street. Rev .S. (sic) B. Ross had charge of the services which were held at 3:30 o'clock.

Mrs. BARTLETT was born in Rush county, Indiana, February 23d, 1835. December 7th, 1853, she was married to J. W. BARTLETT at her home. One year later they moved to Iowa locating near Fairfield where Mrs. BARTLETT became well known to Fairfield residents. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. BENTON in Albert Lea, Minn., July 27th, 1913. She has been a member of the Christian church for many years.

Mrs. BARTLETT is survived by three children who are all living, Mrs. L. R. BENTON of Albert Lea, Minn.; Arthur BARTLETT of Ottumwa and J. M. BARTLETT of this city. These together with the following grandchildren are here to attend the funeral, Shirley C. BARTLETT of Winfield, Emry, Anna, Arthur Jr., and Carl BARTLETT of Ottumwa.
