Page 2, Column 3MRS. JOHN BARTHOLOMEW DIED TODAY
The death of Mrs. John BARTHOLOMEW occurred this morning at three o'clock. She was nearly fifty-five years of age and has been in poor health for some time and was taken suddenly ill with an attack of heart trouble. Her death comes as quite a shock to her family as the attack came on quickly.
Louisa THOMA BARTHOLOMEW was born in Kansas October 18, 1858, and moved to Fairfield together with her parents, brother and sisters in the year 1863. Her father was David THOMA who died about thirty-five years ago, and her mother passed away about five years ago.
In the year 1893 (sic - 1892) Miss Louisa THOMA and John BARTHOLOMEW were united in marriage. She is survived by her bereaved husband, a brother, Lou THOMA of Fairfield, and two sisters, Mrs. E. O. WHITE of Grand Island, Neb., and Mrs. Geo WIRTZ of Poke, Neb. Mrs. BARTHOLOMEW has also been a member of the Pythian Sisters for a good many years.
The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home on South Seventh street. Rev. W. W. Montgomery will conduct the services after which the burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
