Aged Women Suffered Fatal Stroke at Her Home TuesdayMrs. Rebecca BARR, 85, died at the Jefferson county hospital this morning at 8:00 o'clock. Mrs. BARR suffered a stroke at her home, 804 South Fifth street, on Tuesday. Mrs. BARR was alone in the house when she suffered the stroke, and it was late in the evening before she was discovered. She was unconscious at the time when found. She was immediately taken to the hospital, where she remained in a critical condition.
The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral Home.
As yet no funeral arrangements have been made.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca A. BARR, were held this afternoon at 1:30 at the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Rev. U. S. Smith. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
Rebecca A. BARR was born August 26, 1848, in Knox county, Ill. Her husband, Albert L. BARR, died November 2, 1903. She is survived by the following step-children, Harry M. BARR of Oelwein, Ia.; James C. BARR of Burlington; and Mrs. H. WILSON of Libertyville, Ia. She had resided in Fairfield since 1875, and was married in 1873.

MRS. A. L. BARR
Mrs. A. L. BARR, who suffered a stroke on January 2, 1934, died at the Jefferson County Hospital on January 6, 1934.
Rebecca A. MOORE was born in Knox county, Illinois, on Aug. 26, 1848, being at the time of her death 85 years, 4 months, 13 days old. She was married to Albert L. BARR on September 4, 1873, at Gilson, Ill. In 1875 the family moved to Fairfield, Iowa, where she had since resided. She is preceded in death by her husband on November 2, 1903, also one stepson, Bert F. BARR who died October 20, 1915. She is survived by three step-children, Harry M. BARR of Oelwein, Ia., Jas. C. BARR of Burlington and Mrs. Lillie M. WILSON of Libertyville.
Mrs. BARR was of a cheerful disposition, a good wife, a kind mother and obliging neighbor and will be missed by her relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home on January 8, at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. U. S. Smith. Hymns used were "Nearer My God To Thee" and 'Rock of Ages' and burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
