Many friends in this city were shocked Saturday evening to learn of the death of Mrs. Bert F. BARR which occured Saturday at 1:15 p m, in Saint Francis Hospital in Burlington (note: in Des Moines Co., IA). Mrs. BARR had been in the hospital for several weeks and her death was due to heart trouble and other complications
The funeral occured this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Unterkercher Chapel in Burlington and the remains were brought to this city this noon where they were interred in Evergreen cemetery
Mary L WAGNER-BARR was born near Libertryville (sic), May 9, 1868, and was the daughter of one of the pioneer families of Jefferson county
In young womanhood she was married to Bert F BARR of this city and together they conducted a hotel known as "The Idlewild Inn" on the site now occupied by "The Court"
They moved from this city to Burlington about twelve years and have since made that city their home Mrs. BARR is survived by one sister Miss Victoria WAGNER of Washington, D C, and one brother, J F. WAGNER of Libertyville, besides her husband and a large number of friends

Miss Victoria WAGNER of Washington, D C., is a guest at the Frank Crail home on South Main street

(From Monday's Daily.)
Remains of Mrs. Bert BARR, who passed away Saturday at the hospital in Burlington, were brought to the city today at noon and taken to the Evergreen cemetery for burial.Rev. Arthur F. Newell of the Congregational church and members of the Hawkeye Rebekah lodge, No, 386, held short services at the grave.
Mr. and Mrs. BARR were until a few years ago located in Fairfield and have a large circle of friends here who will much regret Mrs. BARR's death.
The husband has the sympathy of friends in his bereavement.
