Morton M. BARNS

FAIRFIELD -- Morton M. BARNS, 56, of 5 Forest Drive, died in Jefferson County hospital at 6:30 a.m. Apr. 2 (sic - April 12th). Death terminated a one-year illness.

BARNS was the son of Harper H. and Clara REYMOUR BARNS, and was born at Grinnell on May 4, 1897. He was married to Allie STEWART at Fairfield on July 3, 1921. He was identified with Universal Producing company.

BARNS served overseas during the first World War. He is survived by his widow; a brother, Theodore R. BARNS, Grinnell, and a sister, Lillian BARNS, of Mount Pleasant.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Weston Behner funeral home. Dr. Curtis R. Douglass, pastor of the Free Methodist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The military ritual will be performed at the graveside.
