Mrs. BARNETT Taken In Death

Mrs. Myrtle A. BARNETT, 88, 402 W. Madison, died Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing home after an illness of several years.

Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in charge of Edward M. Esler. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BARNETT was born Nov. 23, 1875 in Henry county, the daughter of William and Nancy MOORE BRERETON. She had been a resident of Jefferson county for 63 years. She was married to Francis Arthur BARNETT Jan. 30, 1901. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1942.

Mrs. BARNETT was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Jessie BARNETT, Fairfield; two grandchildren and one brother, Willard BRERETON, Fairfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive, including Wilbur FETTERMAN, who made his home with Mrs. BARNETT for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by one son, two daughters, three brothers and one sister.

VFW Auxiliary members will meet at the VFW hall at 2:30 p.m. Monday to attend services for Mrs. BARNETT in a group. Members are asked to wear Auxiliary caps.
