Eva M. BARBER rite Wednesday

Eva M. BARBER, 92, Calu Apartments, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 1989, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established to First Baptist Church.

Mrs. BARBER was born May 12, 1897, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Perrin and Grace DAVIS REED. She married Robert L. BARBER Sr., Sept. 19, 1914, in Fairfield. He died June 26, 1952. She lived most of her life in Fairfield, where she was a homemaker and had worked in the Fairfield Button Factory, Fairfield Glove Company and at the Iowa Ordnance Plant in Burlington. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Leo of Davenport; three daughters, Shirley BRADLEY of Libertyville, Beverly WINTERS of Colona, Ill., Ila THOMAS of Clearwater, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a sister, Irene REIGHARD of Keosauqua; two brothers, John REED of Libertyville and Charles REED of Arlington, Va. Two sons, John and Robert, two daughters, Zeralida (sic) and Evelyn, a grandson and two great-grandsons preceded her in death.
