Doris Ruth BARBER, 76, of 114 S. 15th St., died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. BARBER was born Aug. 1, 1926, the daughter of Walter and Clara RAINS BROCK. She married Robert L. BARBER Jr. Aug. 29, 1942, in Lancaster, Mo. He died Oct. 8, 1979.

Mrs. BARBER lived most of her life in the Fairfield community. She worked as a seamstress at Universal Producing Company and as a nurses aide at Parkview Care Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Judith WESTFALL of Clarksburg, W.V., Debby BARBER of Denver, Colo., and Terri J. PASCH of Stockport; four sons, Randy BARBER of West Chicago, Ill., Leo Ray BARBER of Fairfield, Gary Lee BARBER of Fairfield, and John D. BARBER of Marion; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy MORRELL and Florence DALEY.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Robert L. BARBER III.
