A Bright Lad Gone.

Mr. and Mrs. William C. BALL, living just north of the city, have suffered a great affliction in the death of their only son Frank, a lad about 12 years of age(.) He was taken ill with peritonitis the first of the week, but under the physician's care seemed to improve and was considered in no danger until Saturday, when he grew suddenly and alarmingly worse, and in a short time had reached the condition when he was beyond earthly aid(.) Frank was a bright, intelligent, well mannered and handsome boy, the pride of his parents and with many friends among playmates and elder people, and many hearts outside the family circle will sorrow at his death. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon, Dr. Magill and President Ewing conducting the services.

FRANK BALL'S DEATH.

Frank, only son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. BALL, died at their home just north of Fairfield, Saturday, Jan. 12, aged 12 years. He had been sick but a week, of peritonitis, and was not thought to be in great danger until shortly before his death. The blow is unspeakably heavy upon his parents and the one sister. Frank was the only son and was all in disposition, character and prospects that fond parents could wish. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon by Doctors Magill and Ewing.
