KEOSAUQUA, Ia., March 10-- Word has been received here af (sic) the death Thursday, of Mark BAKER, 88, of Chicago. He was born in Keosauqua and grew to manhood here. He had lived in Chicago for many years where he was engaged in the wholesale hat business.
His wife, the former Clara SCHAFFER (sic - SHAFFER) of Fairfield, preceded him in death. The body will be cremated and the ashes sent to Fairfield for burial.

The ashes of Mark M. BAKER, Chicago, will be interred in Evergreen cemetery following brief services at 4 p.m. Wednesday. BAKER, a former resident of Keosauqua, died in Chicago March 8. He was born May 16, 1862.
Despite his advanced age, BAKER was active as a sales representative for a millinery firm until a few months before his death.
