Mark Miller BAKER, 79, of 308 W. Briggs, died Friday afternoon at the Parkview Care Center.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen B. Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Mark Miller BAKER was born Jan 4, 1900, in the Antioch community north of Fairfield. He was the son of Harry and Anna MILLER BAKER. He was reared and educated in the Antioch community and was a graduate of the Fairfield High School. He lived his entire adult life in Fairfield.
He married Ercel CARL Dec. 27, 1919, in Mount Pleasant. He was retired after working for the Iowa Liquor Control Commission for 30 years and was a former manager of the Iowa Liquor Store in Fairfield.
He was a member of the Antioch Church, a life member of BPO Elks, Eagles and VFW.
In addition to his widow, BAKER is survived by a son, Conway C. BAKER, Melvern, Long Island, New York; a daughter, Roxiann DOOLEY, Des Moines; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
