William BAIRD Taken In Death

William H. BAIRD, retired Fairfield Glove company employe, passed away about 8 p.m. Friday at his home, 508 W. Stone. He had been in failing health the past several years seriously ill for the past five days.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home where last rites are pending.

William H. BAIRD, 86, was born Sept. 15, 1874, in Jackson county, Iowa, the son of George and Emma PAINTER BAIRD. He was married to Lena BRUDERS on Sept. 1, 1897, at Bloomfield.

He was employed at the Fairfield Glove company for 33 years prior to his retirement seven years ago. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 50 years and was a member of the First Christian church.

He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Rites Tuesday for W. H. BAIRD

Last rites for William H. BAIRD, 86, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

BAIRD died Friday night at his home at 508 W. Stone St. He retired seven years ago after being employed for 33 years at the Fairfield Glove Co.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Donald A. Eagle. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
