Alfred ARMSTRONG Passed Away Following Long IllnessAlfred ARMSTRONG, prominent Jefferson county farmer and a former member of the Board of Supervisors, passed away at 9:15 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Albert D. ARMSTRONG, four mile northwest (sic) of the city. He had been confined to his bed for more than two years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday from the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Fred G. Crown. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. ARMSTRONG was born October 12, 1848. He came to this county in 1864 and has since made his home here. For twelve years he was a member of the Board of Supervisors of Jefferson county. His wife preceded him in death July 1925 and since that time he has resided with his son.
He is survived by two children: Arthur ARMSTRONG of Whittier, Calif. and Albert of Fairfield, one sister, Mrs. Mary DILL of Penbine (sic - Pembine), Wis. and one granddaughter, Catherine ARMSTRONG of Fairfield.
