Death came last night to Albert D. ARMSTRONG, native of Jefferson county who passed away at 7:55 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital.
He entered the hospital last Sunday and had been in failing health the past one and a half years.
Last rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. James Dendler in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Albert Douglass ARMSTRONG, 77, was born in Jefferson county on April 20, 1887, the son of Alfred and Kathryn DOUGLASS ARMSTRONG. He was reared and educated in Jefferson county.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 1, 1910, at Galesburg, Ill., to Clara Elizabeth WOLETT. She preceded her husband in death on Oct. 19, 1953.
ARMSTRONG served as assessor in Center township for many years; served as township trustee and was a past member of the county ASC committee. He had been a farmer all his life.
ARMSTRONG is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Kathryn) DAVIS, Fairfield; one grandson; and one brother, Arthur J. ARMSTRONG, Sherman Oaks, Calif.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy and a sister.

Jefferson County ss.To All Whom It May Concern:
You Are Hereby Notified, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Albert D. ARMSTRONG, deceased, dated January 5, 1956 having been this day filed, opened and read, Monday the 21st day of September, 1964, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the district Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court; and at 9:30 o'clock a.m. of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.
