Mrs. ARCHIBALD Is Found Dead; Service Friday

Mrs. Anna B. ARCHIBALD, 81, was found dead Wednesday evening at her home at 803 E. Adams.

City police and a family friend went to the home after they had been notified by Mrs. ARCHIBALD's daughter in Davenport that her mother did not answer her telephone.

Dr. C. F. Watson, county medical examiner, placed the time of death as last Friday. She had been preparing a meal when she was stricken in the dining room.

Burial services were held this afternoon in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial services will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean W. Berg officiating.

Mrs. ARCHIBALD was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County and a member of the Hope Lutheran Church. She was born Dec. 18, 1890 near Germanville, the daughter of Charles and Barbara SCHMIDT CRILE.

She was married to John ARCHIBALD June 6, 1924. He died Sept. 4, 1959. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary L. DAVIS, Davenport; and one son, Charles ARCHIBALD, Bettendorf. One grandchild and one great grandchild also survive.

Mrs. ARCHIBALD was the last surviving member of a family of eight children.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Anna C. ARCHIBALD, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 17th day of April 1972, the undersigned was appointed administrator of said estate. Notice is hereby given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance, and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claims shall thereafter be forever barred.
