MRS. RACHEL E. ANDERSON DIED SATURDAY NIGHT

Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth ANDERSON, wife of John ANDERSON, passed away Saturday night at 11:50 o'clock at her home on East Broadway street. She had been ill for the past twelve years and during most of the time had been a great sufferer and had been unable to leave her chair. She had Aonly (sic) been critically ill for about a week.

Mrs. ANDERSON was the daughter of D. C. and Elizabeth W. JONES and was born in Missouri, December 15th, 1847. For about fifty years she had made her home in this city where she had made many friends who will be grieved to learn of her death.

In 1865 she was united in marriage to William H. JONES, who died August 18th, 1882. To this union was born the following children: Mrs. Frank EDWARDS of Fairfield, Mrs. William EDWARDS of Paona, Colorado, Mrs. William PINSKIE, of Revena, Neb., William JONES and Mrs. Clayton SPRATT of Fairfield. Two children, Andy Marshall, aged 18 months, and Martin, aged three years, have preceded their mother in death.

On December 30th, 1890, she was again united in marriage to John ANDERSON who is left to mourn her loss. To them was born one daughter, Mrs. O. S. HART, who lived at home.

Mrs. ANDERSON is also survved (sic) by the following brothers and sisters: Richard JONES of Seattle, Wash.; Wm. JONES of Smithfield, Neb.; Victor G. JONES of Fairview, Okla.; Arthur M. JONES of Cozad, Neb., Charles M. JONES and Mrs. A. M. BARTLETT both of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Anna NORINE, of Omaha, Neb. She leaves a number of nieces and nephews to mourn her death.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church of which she was a faithful member. Rev. Gaule will have charge of the services and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Many friends will extend sympathy to the sorrowing family at this time in the death of this good woman.

Mrs. John ANDERSON

Mrs. John ANDERSON passed away at her home on East Broadway Saturday night. Mrs. ANDERSON had been confined to her home and chair for about twelve years with paralysis, the fatal illness, however, being of only a week's duration.

Rachel E. JONES, who was the daughter D. C. and Elizabeth W. JONES, was born December 15th, 1847, in Missouri. For the last fifty years she has been a resident of this city and had many friends who will mourn her departure.

She was united in marriage in 1865 with William H. JONES, who preceded her in death August 18, 1882. Two children also preceded her in death. The following children survive her: Mrs. Frank EDWARDS, Wm. JONES and Mrs. Clayton SPRATT of Fairfield; Mrs. William EDWARDS of Paonia, Colo., and Mrs. William PINSKIE of Revena, Neb.

She was again united in marriage on Dec. 30, 1890, to John ANDERSON who with one daughter, Mrs. O. S. HART, survives her. She is also survived by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Catholic church Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
