Heart Ailment Fatal To Mrs. M. ANDERSON

Mrs. Maria Louise ANDERSON, 80, died at her home at 4 o'clock Saturday morning after a two months' illness with a heart ailment. Mrs. ANDERSON, who was born in Krisdala, Sweden, December 25, 1965, came to the United States in February, 1889, and settled near Altona where she was married to Nels Peter ANDERSON January 10, 1890. They lived all their married life in the Woodhull community except for seven years in Fairfield, Iowa. Mrs. ANDERSON was a member of Bethany Lutheran church and Aid society.

Surviving are three sons, Arthur, of Burlington, and Albert and Glenn, of Woodhull; two daughters, Mrs. Laura HESTON, of Fairfield, Iowa, and Mrs. Dora ROSS, of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her husband and two sons, Clarence and Walter, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Monday from Bethany Lutheran church with Rev. O. K. Bosse officiating. Mrs. Tracy McKey sang with Mrs. Logan Stiers at the organ. Pallbearers were Melvin Sprouse, Ed Peterson, Victor Lindquist, Axel Johnson, Alfred Anderson and Carl E. Peterson. Burial was in Fairfield, Iowa, cemetery (sic - Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA).

Note: Buried in Lot SDiv.1-009 with Nels who died in 1938. Three of their children are on the base of their gravestone: Walter, Albert, and Clarence.
