Ruth K. McClain, 62, of Runnells, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at her home.

The funeral was Tuesday in Altoona, with burial at a cemetery in Berwick.

Mrs. McClain was born Dec. 3, 1942, the daughter of Ward and Edith Paul Stauffer of Brighton. She married Dave McClain June 5, 1965, in Des Moines.

She graduated from Brighton High School.

She worked at Merchants Bonding Company in Des Moines for 42 years.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Susan Danks and husband Ron; two sisters, Dorothy Clark of Libertyville and Elizabeth Gegner of Brighton; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
