A former Fairfield resident was killed in an auto accident last night near Hermiston, Oregon, according to word received here early this morning.
The victim is 24-year-old Jack ANDERS, son of Mrs. Lloyd ANDERS, 207 East Monroe street.
So far no particulars have been received concerning the fatal accident. Word received by Mrs. ANDERS early this morning said her son was killed in an auto accident near Hermiston, Oregon, where he had been employed for the past few years.
The body will be returned to Fairfield for last rites and burial.
Jack Leroy ANDERS was born October 28, 1923, in Jefferson county, the son of Lloyd and June CROWNER ANDERS. His father preceded him in death on April 7, 1948.
Jack ANDERS spent most of his life in the Fairfield community and attended school here. He went to the west coast a few years ago and was recently had been employed at Hermiston (sic).
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Don ANDERS, Fairfield, and Rex ANDERS, who resides in Burlington. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Gus COCHRAN, who lives at North Richland, Wash.
The body will be taken to the Hoskins funeral home upon arrival in Fairfield.

Last rites will be Saturday afternoon for Jack ANDERS, former loca lresident (sic) who was killed in an auto accident near Hermiston, Oregon, Tuesday night.
The services will be at 3 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body will arrive in Fairfield Saturday morning and will be taken directly to the funeral home.

Last rites for Jack ANDERS have been postponed until 1 p.m. Sunday. The services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S. P. Wliliamson (sic) in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The funeral was originally planned for 3 p.m. today but the announcement of the postponement was made this morning.
Jack ANDERS, a former resident of Fairfield, was killed in an auto accident near his home in Oregon last Tuesday night.
