Graveside services for Willamette ALLENDER, former resident of Fairfield, will be held at 10 a.m. at Evergreen cemetery in charge of Dr. L. L. Weis. Her cremated remains have arrived at the Weston Behner funeral home.
Miss ALLENDER passed away at her home in Palo Alto, California, February 26, where she had lived for the past 30 years. She had taught in Palo Alto schools for a number of years.
Miss ALLENDER was a former member of Chapter C. P.E.O., in Fairfield. She was born February 20, 1865, at Salina, the daughter of the late J. H. and Adaline TEMPLETON ALLENDER. She taught schools in rural districts, and then in Fairfield for a year before going to Seattle, Washington. After teaching several years in Seattle she went to Palo Alto where she made her home until her death.
She is survived by her sisters: Gertrude ALLENDER, Palo Alto; June ALLENDER and Mrs. Odessa POWELL, Fairfield; a nephew, Merwyn ALLENDER, Omaha, Nebraska; and a grand nephew, Max ALLENDER, Delano, Minnesota.
