Edward ALLENDER Taken In Death

J. Edward ALLENDER Sr., 82, died at 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been seriously ill the past seven weeks.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Wilson Hyde will officiate.

ALLENDER was born June 4, 1886 at Rome, Iowa. He was married to Nellie M. KIMES on Jan. 30, 1913.

He has been a resident of this community for over 70 years. A retired businessman, he resided at 57½ E. Broadway.

He is survived by his widow, one son, Edward ALLENDER Jr., Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Ralph WHEATLEY and one brother, Raymond ALLENDER, both of Fairfield.
