Mr. ALLEN was born in Crawford county, Penn., March 11th, 1857. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1864, and in 1871 removed from Lee county to Fairfield. He was married to Belle MORRIS in Pennsylvania in 1891. They were the parents of four children, who range in age from five months to thirteen years. Mr. ALLEN was a brother of George W. ALLEN of Buchanan township, Barlow ALLEN of Eugene City, Ore., and Mrs. A. B. HOLLISTER of Colorado Springs, Col. He was a man of good character and correct habits, and many friends will mourn his death and sympathize with the bereaved wife and fatherless children. Rev. A. R.
