Page 10, Column 1ALEXANDER Dies At 77
Knox L. ALEXANDER, 77, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
He had been in failing health the past year and a half and seriously ill one week. The family home is at 506 South Second in Fairfield where he had resided since January 1974, moving here from Villa Park, Ill. to be near his daughter, Mrs. Paul E. (Marilyn) VAUGHAN.
Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul E. VAUGHAN in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
ALEXANDER was born April 23, 1897 in Spring Valley, Ill., the son of Knox and Lillian CHAPMAN ALEXANDER. On June 18, 1935 he was married to Olga J. NYBERG who survives. For over 35 years he was a food chemist with Best Foods division of Corn Products Company. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his wife and daughter, Mrs. VAUGHAN, are another daughter, Sylvia A. BROWN of Pueblo, Colo.; seven grandchildren, one brother, Albert ALEXANDER of Villa Park, Ill., and one sister, Genevieve BROYLES of West Chicago, Ill. One brother is deceased.
