Mrs. Mary AIN Joins Octogenarians Rank

Mrs. Mary AIN, 403 South Third Street, entered the ranks of octogenarians yesterday when she observed her 80th birthday. Three of her four children visited with her last evening and presented her with a lovely personal gift. Those present were a son, Mrs. and Mrs. Harley AIN and daughter; Russell who lives with his mother and a daughter, Mrs. Clarence RODGERS and Buddy. Unable to be present was a son, Raymond, who is working in Ottumwa.

Mrs. AIN is in fairly good health and is able to care for her flower and vegetable garden through the summer months and also does her own housework as well as takes care of her business matters. She also does lots of walking.

MRS. GUS AIN RITES SUNDAY

Mrs. Gus AIN, 404 South Third Street, a life-time Jefferson county resident, passed away suddenly Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been taken at 5 p.m. following an attack suffered at her home(.) She had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at the First Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. The body will be taken to the church from Hoskins Funeral Home at 1;;00 p.m. (sic) Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary Louise AIN was born November 14, 1865 in Iowa and lived her entire life in Jefferson county, and was a resident of Fairfield for 26 years. She married Jonas August AIN, May 18, 1886 and he preceded her in death in October, 1925. She was a member of the local First Lutheran church.

Survivors are four children, Mrs. Clarence RODGERS, Raymond, Harley and Russell AIN, all of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters, Mesdames Lillian CLAWSON of St. Petersburg, Florida and Frank ENGWALL of Lockridge.

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary L. AIN, Deceased is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Friday, December 21st., A. D. 1945 at 9:30 A. M. and has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said Court, this 24th day of November, 1945.
