Illness Fatal To Robert ADAMS, Fairfield Barber

Robert R. "Bob" ADAMS, veteran Fairfield barber, died at 3:40 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital where he had been a patient since May 10. He suffered a heart attack May 7.

ADAMS resided at 606 South Fourth St. He had been a barber for 40 years, including 37 years in Fairfield.

Funeral arrangements are pending. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

ADAMS was born Dec. 3, 1903 at Allerion, the son of William S. and Irene SEIGLER ADAMS. He was married to Edna DIMMITT Jan. 1, 1929. For the past eight years ADAMS had been employed at Lefty's Barber shop. He was also a barber at the Barton, Baldwin and Zike shops in Fairfield.

Surviving are his wife and one son, Robert P. ADAMS, Washington, Ill. Other survivors are two grandchildren; one brother, George ADAMS, Chariton; and one sister, Bessie ADAMS, Yakima, Wash.

He was preceded in death by a brother and twin sister.

Funeral Monday For Bob ADAMS

Last rites for Robert R. "Bob" ADAMS will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

ADAMS died at 3:40 a.m. Friday at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient since May 10. He had suffered a heart attack.

ADAMS had been a barber for 40 years, 37 years in Fairfield. The family home is at 606 S. Fourth.
