MRS. E. ACKLEY PASSES AWAY
She Had Been In Very Poor Health for A Year and Cared for By Daughter

Mrs. Emma ACKLEY passed away at 1:15 oclock this morning at her home, 302 North B street. She was 78 years of age last Feb. 7. Mrs. ACKLEY has been in poor health for the past year and has been cared for by her only daughter Mrs. Minnie Shaffer BLOSS. She come (sic) to this city about fifteen years ago, moving here from Colorado.

Mrs ACKLEY is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Minnie BLOSS. Her husband preceeded (sic) her in death several years ago. She was a member of the M. E. church, joining when she came to this city.

Funeral services will be held at three oclock Wednesday afternoon from Hoskins Funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Were Held At 3 From The Hoskins Funeral Home; Burial At Evergreen

The funeral services for Mrs. Emma ACKLEY, who died Monday morning at her home, 302 North B street, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home. Dr. U. S. Smith of the Methodist churc hofficiated (sic).

Mrs. C. M. Graham and Miss Marie Scott sang, "Going Down the Valley" and "Some Day We'll Understand". Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery. The pall bearers were: Matt A. Schaefer, William S. Johnson, E. B. Abbey, John M. Hissong, Charles Mullenix, and Charles H. Clapp.

State of Iowa, Jefferson county ss.

To all whom it may concern:

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Emma C. ACKLEY, deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Tuesday, August 28th, A. D. 1928, at 2 o'clock p.m., it being in vacation of said court, has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said court this 3rd day of August, 1928.
