ADAM rites on Monday

Christina ADAM, 82, 1004 S. Third, died Friday evening at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Services have been set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Christina ADAM was born Nov. 24, 1895, in Keokuk County, the daughter of Peter and Mary BOHRFEN GREINER. She was married to William P. ADAM Jan. 30, 1917, in Clear Creek in Keokuk County.

She was reared and educated in Keokuk County near Tallyrand and lived during her married life in Keota and Richland before moving to Fairfield in 1953. Mrs. ADAM was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Eleanor SOBASKI, Richland; Marian HAMMES, Keota; Jeanette FRENCH, Rockford, Ill.; Isabelle LEPPERT, Richland; Francine FREEMAN, Orlando, Fla.; also five sons, Walter, Fairfield; Omer, Richland; Don, Richland; Richard, Hedrick; and Ronald, Fairfield.

Other survivors include 63 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters, Matts, Frank, Leo, and Raymond GREINER, all of Keota; Mrs. Rose JEAGER and Mrs. Elmer PEIFFER, both of Keota; Mrs. John ADAM, Fairfield; and Mrs. Jay MILLER, Wellman.

Services for Christina ADAM, 82, 1004 S. Third, was held this morning at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mrs. ADAM is survived by her husband, William P. ADAM, and 11 children. An obituary which appeared in Saturday's paper inadvertently omitted the name of one daughter, Lucille ADRIAN, Richland.
