Two Good Men Gone.

Jacob REITER, since 1870 a resident of Cedar township, south of Wooster, died at the home of his soninlaw, George HILL, a mile west of this city, Saturday. He had been ill less than a week, congestion of the lungs causing death. Mr. REITER was a native of Germany, and came to the United States with his parents at the age of nine years. His home was in Pennsylvania for many years, where, at Kittanning, in 1848, he was married to Miss Lavina RUPERT, who died in September last. Mr. REITER had been a member of the Lutheran church since early childhood, and was a most excellent man. Four children survive him, Mrs. HILL, Mrs. George CANADAY of Birmingham and two sons, Conrad and James H. Mr. REITER was in the 66th year of his age. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon, Rev. H. M. Lentz conducting the services, and the remains were taken to the Wooster cemetery for interment (sic - Wright Cemetery).
