Private funeral services were held today at 1:30 p.m. a the Monger funeral home for Eli REITER, 65, who died yesterday morning. He had been a resident at the Jefferson county home since 1949 and in poor health for some time.
Eli REITER was born November 18, 1885 near Birmingham and most of his life was spent in this county as a miner. He last operated a mine on the Clyde Hall farm south of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife in April, 1947. Surviving are the following half sisters: Mrs. Rex UTTERBACK, Hayesville; Mrs. Nettie MARTIN, East Moline; Mrs. Lucille MELROSE, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Kenneth DAY, Packwood.
The Rev. S. P. Williamson was in charge of the services and burial will be in Wright cemetery near Wooster.
