Obituary.

Martha ANKROM was born in Tylor county, Virginia, Feb. 3, 1836. A year later her parents moved to Iowa and lived on year in Burlington. In 1838 her parents moved to this county, locating on the farm now owned by William ANKROM in Cedar township, and where she died Sept. 2, 1904. She was there on a visit and died very suddenly. She was married to Thos. J. PRINGLE March 7, 1892. She joined the Christian church in 1891 and lived a faithful member until death. She was a faithful wife, kind neighbor and a loving sister. Funeral services were held from the William ANKROM home where she died, conducted by Rev. Horton Spencer of Veo, assisted by Rev. Charles Cook of Perlee. The remains were laid to rest in the Wright cemetery.

-----------------

We are requested by Comrade Thos. J. PRINGLE to thank the many friends for their kindness to him in the hour of sad affliction.

-----------------

Thursday of last week Comrade Thos. J. PRINGLE and wife called at this office. They were from near Woolson and were here attending Old Settlers' reunion. They met her brother and family, Mr. ANKROM of Cedar township, and they persuaded her to go out with them and he promised to go out about the middle of this week. Friday night Mrs. PRINGLE was taken sick and died before a physician could be called. We were surprised at this bad news and with many others sympathize with Comrade PRINGLE in his great affliction.
