REBEKAH, 96, ATTEND RITES IN A BODY

Rebekah Lodge No. 96 will meet promptly at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow December 9 in No. 4 Hall to go in a body to the Behner Funeral home to attend the last rites of Truman PARSONS.

A full attendance is desired as Rebekah services will be conducted at the funeral home.

PROMINENT COUNTY MAN SUCCUMBS

Truman E. PARSONS, 76, prominent Jefferson county farmer, passed away last evening around 5:45 o'clock, after a serious illness during the past two weeks and failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Weston Behner Funeral Home. Members of the Rebekah Lodge will conduct the services. The Rev. S. P. Williamson, pastor of the First Christian church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Wright cemetery, southeast of Fairfield.

Mr. PARSONS was born Jan. 18, 1867, in Jefferson county near Parsonsville. He was the son of the late Baldwin and Mary PARSONS, and was united in marriage to Addy M. FRY on April 5, 1892.

Mr. PARSONS had lived in this county his entire life and on his farm, 8 miles southeast of Fairfield for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Christian church, Glasgow Lodge, I. O. O. F. No. 45, and of the Rebekah Lodge, No. 96.

He is survived by his wife, Addy and one brother, Delmar PARSONS of Salina, Iowa. He was preceded in death by four children, one sister and four brothers.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Truman E. PARSONS, Deceased is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that on Saturday, January 8th, A. D. 1944 at 9:30 o'clock A. M. has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said Court, this 13th day of December, 1943.
