ASA PARSONS DIED THIS MORNING

Many friends in Fairfield were shocked this morning to learn of the death of Asa PARSONS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Truman PARSONS, who reside near Glasgow. Death came at 7:20 o'clock this morning following an illness of several months with diabetes.

Asa PARSONS was a student in the Parsons College Academy until February First when he was compelled to give up his studies and return to his home on account of illness. He was popular with the members of his class and his college acquaintances and all who knew him. Mr. PARSONS was born April 1st, 1896 in Cedar township Jefferson county. Just one week ago he celebrated his seventeenth birthday anniversary.

He is survived by his parents, one sister May and a brother Oren. No definite arrangements have yet been made for the funeral. Rev. W. E. Berdine of Montezuma, an intimate friend will conduct the last services and the interrment will be made in the Wright cemetery.

... --The funeral of Asa PARSONS who passed away yesterday morning at the home of his parent Mr. and Mrs. Truman PARSONS near Glasgow will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Ebenezer church and the interrment will take place in the Wright cemetery.

Asa PARSONS Dead.

The many friends of Asa PARSONS, a son of Mr. and Mrs. PARSONS of near Glendale, were shocked by the news of his death which occurred Wednesday morning. He was a student of parsons College up to about the first of February, when he was forced to give up his school work because of poor health. He was well liked by his schoolmates and leaves behind a host of friends to grieve his death.

... The death of Asa PARSONS was one of the saddest events that has visited this neighborhood in a long while; he was beloved by such a wide relationship and so many friends. Almost impassable as were the roads, a large congregation attended the funeral at Ebenezer Chapel, conducted by Rev. Wm. Berdine, the pastor, assisted by Prof. ------ Bell of Parsons college, where Asa had been at school until his health failed. ...
