Sad Death.--Grief has again visited the house of Mr. F. T. HUMPHREY (sic). His oldest son, named Jerome, aged about 23, went to the timber on Saturday, February 3d, to cut some wood. He ate a frozen dinner and drank snow and ice. On his return he complained of sickness, was attacked with cramp in the stomach, and after intense suffering died on the night of the 7th inst. Medical aid could not relieve him. He was buried on the 9th inst. But a short time ago Mr. H. lost his wife (note: refers to Jerome's mother, Louisa GORSUCH HUMPHREYS who died Dec. 21, 1871), and this double affliction is very distressing.
