Troy HECKETHORN

Troy E. HECKETHORN, 31, of Batavia, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, near Fairfield.

Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, with the family present from 7-8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. HECKETHORN was born Sept. 23, 1974, in Iowa City, the son of Stan and Sally GRIFFIN HECKETHORN. He married Carri PAULS Nov. 14, 2000, in Cancun, Mexico.

Mr. HECKETHORN was raised and educated in Fairfield, graduating from Fairfield High School 1993. He later attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Until his death, he was employed with Books Are Fun.

Survivors include his wife; one son Gavin and one daughter, Aspen, both at home; and his parents of Pleasant Plain.

Mr. HECKETHORN was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
