Mrs. FAULKNER Dies Thursday In California

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Nancy FAULKNER who passed away Thursday in California. She was the wife of David FAULKNER, the family being former residents of the city.

The body will arrive here from Los Angeles on Monday at 1:25 a.m. and be taken to Hoskins funeral home. No arrangements have been made other than interment will be in Wright cemetery.

Services For Mrs. FAULKNER To Be Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. David FAULKNER will be held Monday at the Free Methodist church in charge of the Rev. C. F. Chitty. Iterment (sic) will be in Wright cemetery southeast of Fairfield. The body will arrive early Monday morning from Los Angeles and will be taken to the Hoskins Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Mrs. David FAULKNER

Nancy Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William WRIGHT, was born on a farm near Wooster in Jefferson county, Iowa, on March 31, 1866. She was married to Abraham SPRAY in about the year 1886 (sic - Sep. 13, 1883). To this union four children were born.

On January 27, 1916, Mrs. Nancy SPRAY was married to David FAULKNER at Fairfield. Mr. and Mrs. FAULKNER and the SPRAY brothers motored to Los Angeles, Calif., and made their home there. About 10 years ago the family moved to Huntington, Calif.

Mrs. FAULKNER was a member of the Free Methodist church of Fairfield and she transferred her membership to the Herman church in California. She lived and died in the faith.

Mrs. FAULKNER took sick about three months ago. She had been in ailing health for several years, however. In her final illness she had heart trouble and experienced a great deal of suffering. She was a kind mother and a faithful wife.

Mrs. FAULKNER passed away on July 19, 1939. The body was returned to Fairfield with funeral services being held at the Free Methodist church at 10 a.m. Monday, July 24. Interment was in Wright cemetery seven miles southeast of Fairfield.
