Obituary.

David Snyder HILL of Birmingham
[Special to The Hawk-Eye.]

Birmingham, Ia., June 8. -- David Snyder HILL, youngest son of Jacob and Rebecca HILL, born February 28, 1869, in Jefferson county, Ia., departed this life June 5, 1916, age 47 years, 3 months and 6 days. He was married to Miss Lilly SIMPKINS in September, 1896. To this union was born three children-- George S., Goldie M. and David Ray. His wife departed this life in October, 1901. He was again united in marriage on March 2, 1904, to Miss Edith CLOVER. To this union two children were born. The first born died in infancy, and Kenneth Clover, age 6 years, lives to mourn his father's death. Besides his wife and children he leaves an aged father, Mr. Jacob HILL, and one sister, Mrs. George WHITE, both of Pine Grove, Mont., and one brother, Mr. Gilbert HILL, of Libertyvile (sic), Ia., besides a host of friends and other relatives. Mr. HILL was united with the Methodist Episcoptal (sic) church August 24, 1914, and remained a faithful and trtue (sic) member until death. Brother HILL was a loving husband, a kind father, and a good neighbor. Funeral services were held from the Mt. Monah church on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by his paston (sic), Rev. E. S. Hehner of Douds-Leando. Burial was made in the Winsel cemetery.
