Tilman GRIMES Taken In Death

Tilman H. GRIMES, 87, passed away early this morning at the Rest Haven Annex in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA) where he had been a patient since March. His home was 4½ miles northwest of Birmingham, he spent most of his life in this county.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home where last rites are pending.

GRIMES was born April 27, 1877 in Lucas county Iowa the son of Charles W. and Emma FERGUSON GRIMES. He married Nettie MORRISON September 13, 1905 and she preceded him in death June 7, 1959.

Surviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. James SYFERT, Keosauqua; Mrs. Homer PARCELL, Birmingham and John GRIMES of Richland. He also leaves 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Roscoe McCLEARY, Fairfield; Mrs. Ora EBELHEISER, Sioux City and one brother, Lee GRIMES of Fairfield.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

GRIMES Funeral Scheduled Today

Tilman GRIMES funeral services were to be held today at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home. The Rev. Albert R. McCurrin of Richland was the officiating minister. Burial was to be held in Winsell cemetery, southwest of Libertyville.
