OBITUARY

ANNA JANE HODSON

Anna Jane HODSON, daughter of James F. and Rebecca HODSON was born June 24, 1866 at Pleasant Plain, Iowa and departed this life at her home at the age of 74 years and 16 days.

She was united in marriage to Alson HODSON in 1886 and to this union were born four children, two children and her husband preceding her in death. Those left to mourn her loss are Charles HODSON of Pleasant Plain, IA., Mrs. Winnie BAILEY of Birmingham, eleven grand-children, five great-grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Linda SHEAFFER of Brighton, one half sister of Packwood and a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. HODSON had been an invalid for several years and bore her suffering well, usually she said "There are so many that are worse off than I am that I have lots to be thankful for."

Her last few years were spent almost entirely at home as she was unable to get away. She was kind hearted and always ready to open her home to others, in this she seemed to get a great deal of joy. She was a life long member of the Pleasant Plain Friends church, and as long as health permitted she was a regular attendant, but when she could no longer attend she was a member of the home department and a consistent student of the Bible.
