OBITUARY

Bertha Mae HODSON

Bertha Mae HODSON oldest daughter of Jonathan and Betha (sic - Bertha) HODSON was born at Pleasant Plain, Iowa on November 10, 1890 and departed this life on January 7, 1931, age 40 years, 1 mo. and 28 days.

On October 13, 1918 she was united in marriage to Scott DAVISSON who proceded (sic) her in death two years ago (sic - in 1928). Since her husband's death she had came (sic) to live with her mother and it was there she passed away.

Mae had not enjoyed good health for several years but was only critically ill for a few days. She was a patient sufferer. The end came very peacefully and she passed away to the Great Beyond in a peaceful sleep. She was always willing and ready to do for others. Her life was a continious (sic) service to those who need help and to those she loved. She will be greatly missed in the home.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, Mrs. Bertha HODSON, two sisters and two brothers, James Ross and Mrs. James MORGAN at home and Mrs. Harold BROWN of Pembine, Wis., also a host of relatives and friends.

Her father, Jonathan HODSON and two brother (sic) preceded her in death.

… Mr. and Mrs. Guy DAVISSON and son Orville of near Birmingham attended the funeral of Mrs. Mae DAVISSON here Friday. …

… Mrs. Mae DAVISSON passed away Wednesday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Bertha HODSON. She leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, Bertha HODSON and two brothers Jim and Ross HODSON and two sisters, Mrs. Jim MORGAN and Mrs. Harold BROWN of Pembine Wisconsin and many friends and relatives who sympathize with the family in their bereavement. The funeral was held Friday morning at the Friends church, conducted by Rev. Harvey Moon. Interment was in the Walnut cemetery.
